Who Can Join?

MEMBERSHIP SPECIALS:
School District Employees who join ECSFCU the first 60 days of their 2023-24 academic school year with either a new checking account with a minimum $500/month direct deposit or a new loan product will get $100 deposited into their account upon the receipt of the first direct deposit or upon the funding of the loan.*  Expires after 60 days or October 31, 2023, whichever comes first.

Refer a new ECS credit union member who opens either a checking account with a minimum $500/month direct deposit or a new loan product and you will both get $50 deposited into your account upon the receipt of the first direct deposit or upon the funding of the loan.*  Expires December 31, 2023

*$5.00 opening deposit required for Share Savings. $25.00 opening deposit required for new checking accounts. New member must meet all new member eligibility requirements. Loan eligibility is based on credit history, proof of income and collateral. Other terms and conditions may apply. Fees can reduce earnings on any account.

We Want You to be Our Member!

Membership is open to all employees who work or are retired from the San Diego East County educational community. This includes both public and private educational institutions. Our field of membership includes:

  • Part Time and Full Time employees (eligible for benefits or not)
  • Classified, Certificated and Administrative employees
  • Educational organizations such as CSEA, PTA and Education Foundations and their executive board members

Eligibility for Relatives

Spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren (see our 13-17 year old Teen Account), and all other household and immediate family of members who are currently working or retired from these schools are also eligible to become members of the credit union.

Once a Member...Always a Member

When you join East County Schools Federal Credit Union, you are a member for life. Even if you switch careers, move out of the area, or retire, you can stay our member. You may still refer family members to us as well.

Online membership application, call us, print a membership application, or come in to the credit union to sign up in person. A deposit of $5.00 (one share) is all it takes to open your share account.*

    I had a fantastic trip to Switzerland and Austria this past summer with East County Schools FCU and the SD East County Chamber of Commerce. This was my 6th trip with this fun group! The Educator Tour, guided by the infamous Steve Devan, is the perfect way to truly see and experience any country. The train ride through the Alps was a personal favorite and such an amazing experience. Seeing and hearing cows and goats with real bells grazing on the side of the mountains made me want to sing a favorite "Sound of Music" song and look for Heidi or her grandpa around every turn! I really felt immersed in the culture. The extra servings of warm apple strudel helped too!

     I am a single traveler and all worries are put aside on these well-coordinated trips. Almost everything is taken care of for the travelers so I always feel spoiled! The fellow Educator Tour travelers that I have met from other districts and other walks of life have become my life-long friends! These trips are so dear to me that I have a separate savings travel account where I dedicate a small monthly amount to be ready for the next country!
